A brace from Nia Wilson would lead NTSC past North Mississauga by a score of 3-2

Play. Inspire. Unite.

The U-14 Girls OPDL Charity Shield featured North Mississauga taking on North Toronto SC in a battle of the best in the province.

North Toronto got things going early when a free kick from Emma Parker fooled the North Mississauga keeper and found the back of the net in the second minute of play.

Despite the slow start, it was North Mississauga who had the majority of possession and chances in the early going but they couldn’t convert their opportunities to anything on the scoreboard.

Sierra Cota-Yarde for North Toronto and Jada Molnar for North Mississauga were both called on to make big saves, keeping the game close through the first 40 minutes.

After the restart, Nia Wilson would double the lead for North Toronto when a counter attack sprung her in alone and she made no mistake to make it 2-0.

Unfazed, North Mississauga hit right back when a fantastic strike by Ella Chase found the back of the net to make it 2-1.

Wilson would increase North Toronto’s lead in the 60th minute when the ball skipped in behind the North Mississauga defence and she pounced on the opportunity to make it 3-1.

Chase would keep it close for North Mississauga when a shot, almost from the same spot as her first goal, found the back of the net to make it 3-2 with under 10 minutes to go.

That would be as close as they would get though as North Toronto would shut the door the rest of the way to capture the U-14 Girls OPDL Charity Shield.
