Jade Taylor-Ryan's brace was the difference for OSU in their 2-1 win

Play. Inspire. Unite.

The U-15 Girls OPDL Charity Shield saw Ottawa South United taking on United FA as some of the best talent in the province was on the display.

OSU would hold the majority of possession in the early going, as United FA were content to let them attack and counter attack when they could.

Jade Taylor-Ryan would open the scoring for OSU in the 17th minute when she pounced on her opportunity and her shot deflected into the net.

United FA would answer right back when Cayla Cajilig took down the ball in the OSU box and slotted her shot into the corner to level the score at 1-1.

The two sides would trade chances throughout the remainder of the first half but couldn’t find a way through.

After the restart, United FA would receive a penalty for a handball in the OSU box. United FA’s Taylor Wood couldn’t convert the opportunity and the two sides remained deadlocked at 1-1.

United would return the favour when an OSU player was pulled down in the box and awarded a penalty.

OSU’s Taylor-Ryan would step up and make no mistake in converting her chance and giving her team at 2-1 lead.

That would be the difference on the day as OSU shut it down the rest of the way to capture the U-15 Girls OPDL Charity Shield.
