Quarterfinalists and medal contenders become clear on day three of the 2017 Canada Soccer National Championships. In Surrey, British Columbia the medal round for the Jubilee Trophy is set as British Columbia booked their place alongside Alberta and Newfoundland and Labrador. Meanwhile the Challenge Trophy table became ever-more crowded as senior teams jostled for position and a chance at Gold on Teck Finals Day on Monday.

In Fredericton, New Brunswick, Quebec's U-17 boys have booked their place in the Gold Medal Final while on the girls' side of the draw Quebec and Ontario lead the way with perfect records.

At the U-15 Cup in Calgary, Alberta and British Columbia's boys' teams finished out the first rounds with perfect records while the girls' side of the draw see Quebec and Ontario in the same position.

There are no clear-cut favourites for any of the medals after day three completion at the 2017 Challenge Trophy. Western Halifax FC closed the gap in Group A with a 2:0 win over Calgary Callies FC. Saskatoon HUSA Alumni continue to lead the group as they held Vancouver Club Inter FC to a 1:1 draw. Vancouver are in third place in the group behind Saskatoon and Halifax. Both Vancouver and Halifax will face each other on Saturday while Saskatoon has its rest day.

There is also still much to be decided in Group B. Fredericton Picaroons Reds put a kink in Durham Celtic FC’s plans, holding them to a 3:3 draw.

Durham and Fredericton split six goals in a 3:3 draw. Joe Vaz scored his second successive hat trick, while Alex Haiart, Benjamin Law and Jimmie Mayaleh scored for Fredericton. Goalkeepers Fabrice Kabongo and Brandon Eagle both made several sensational saves.

Celtix Haut-Richelieu sit atop the standings after a 2:0 win over Whitehorse Yukon Strikers.

Durham Celtic's next game will be Sunday against the Whitehorse Yukon Strikers. They can advance to the finals with a Celtix loss and a Durham win. 

The first-round stage of Jubilee Trophy finals at the 2017 Toyota National Championships are complete. Surrey United SC joined Edmonton Victoria and Holy Cross SC in the medal group. Surrey United won their group on goals difference after Chelsey Hannesson scored in the final minute.

The fourth-to-sixth-place ranking group will feature CS Mont-Royal Outremont, Halifax Dunbrack SC, and Scarborough GS United. Scarborough finished second in their group following a 3:3 draw with North Shore GSC Renegades.

Samantha Cawkell, Kodee Williams and Taijah Henderson scored for Scarborough, while Kirsteen Buchan, Rheanne Sleiman and Shelby Beck countered for North Shore.

The seventh-to-ninth-place ranking group will feature Saskatoon SK Impact FC, Fredericton Picaroons Reds, and North Shore. The three ranking groups all kick off on Saturday in Surrey, British Columbia.

Day three of Canada Soccer's Toyota National Championships U-17 Cup in Fredericton, New Brunswick, found teams jockeying to establish position as competition heated up.

Burlington continued to impress with a 13:0 win over RC United. Left wing Abbigayle Morrell posted a trio of goals during the match to establish herself as one of the leading scorers early in the U-17 Cup just one goal behind leader Magalie Depot (5) from Quebec. 

Burlington, who have already qualified for the gold medal game on Monday, will likely face Quebec's CS Lakeshore. 

On the boys' side, Quebec’s CS Mistral Sherbrooke have secured their place in Monday’s Teck Finals Day Gold Medal match with nine points and a win against Ontario's North Mississauga in their opening match.

Calgary rebounded with a strong performance after yesterday's 0:3 loss to Sherbrooke. They met Saskatoon this afternoon, and although Saskatoon was early to get on the board, Calgary managed to take back control and post a 5:1 win - their first of the U-17 Cup.

North Mississauga's Dylan Avila leads the golden boot race with five goals.

Ontario and Quebec lead the way at the U-15 Cup in Calgary, Alberta.

The representative teams have qualified for the quarterfinal round in both boys’ and girls’ sides.

The London Youth Whitecaps downed Saskatoon South. Ontario wrapped up first place in Group A with the win. Justin Olawabi (2), Adebolaji Taiwo (2), David Cubillos, Abel Tiruneh, and Muhammad Rafih scored for Ontario while Dylan DaSilva earned the cleansheet.

Kitchener SC Ontario locked down first place in Group C with a 1-0 win over FC Regina. Maxeen Rygowska-Sieczkowski scored for Kitchener. Lauren Drummond notched the shutout.

On the boys’ side, Alberta and British Columbia take perfect records into the seeding phase while Manitoba joins Alberta on the girls’ side. All of the teams are fighting for a place in the medal round on Teck Finals Day, Monday.
