London squad claim a double - Cup and League1 title in 2017 - and a back-to-back title run after previously winning the 2016 Championship

FC London women won the 2017 League1 Ontario title on Matchweek 23, defeating their closest rivals in the table, North Mississauga SC, by a score of 2-0.

It was a banner year for the FC London women, as striker Jade Kovacevic again ran the scoring charts and claimed a second Golden Boot in as many years, helping lead the team to the double - claiming L1 Cup and league championship. Remarkably, the 2017 title is the second in the club's history, having also won the 2016 League1 Ontario title.

On the men's side, the race for the divisional championship continues, with all remaining contenders - Vaughan Azzurri and Woodbridge Strikers in the east, and Oakville Blue Devils and Sigma FC in the west - winning their Matchweek 23 matches.

The champions of both men's divisions could now be decided by one match, as west division leaders Oakville Blue Devils host joint-west division leaders Woodbridge Strikers on Wednesday October 4 at Bronte Athletic Park in Oakville.

A draw would be enough to send both sides to the 2017 League1 Ontario Championship Final. A win for Oakville would force a one-game playoff in the men's east division between Vaughan and Woodbridge, while a win for Woodbridge would give Sigma FC an opportunity to take maximum points in their final two matches and force a one-game playoff in the men's west division.
