This week's Fundamental's session focuses on dribbling

Play. Inspire. Unite.

The Player Development department continues to put together a practice for coaches to use with their players across the province.

Each week will focus on one of the three LTPD development stages at the Grassroots level, which includes Active Start, FUNdamentals, and Learn to Train.

In this week's session, the Player Development department has focused on dribbling at the Fundamentals level.

Players are Nemo or Dory as they try and avoid Bruce the Shark while working on their Physical Literacy. They then play a small sided game 3v3 where the coach will provide multiple balls for lots of repetitions.

Players then return to a similar scenario with Bruce the Shark in ‘Just keep swimming’.

The idea is that the players have to dribble through a crowded area without being tackled and finish by scoring on the goal.

Finally, a 3v3 game with no goalkeepers and all normal rules apply for their age and stage of development.
