Daniele Micieli's hat-trick leads his squad to provincial glory

The U-15 Boys Tier 2 Ontario Cup Final featured North York CAF - Bri FC taking on Mississauga OKD in a fast-paced, physical affair that featured several highlight reel goals.

Mississauga OKD opened the scoring early off one of the finest free-kicks of this year’s Ontario Cup.

Ishwarpreet Grewal, from 25-yards-out, curled his shot over the defensive wall and found the top corner of the CAF-Bri FC net to give Mississauga a 1-0 lead.

CAF-Bri FC would answer right back however. Daniele Micieli pounced on a loose ball in the box and his half volley beat the Mississauga keeper to level the score at 1-1.

Micielli would increase their lead a few minutes later when he got in behind the Mississauga defence and chipped the keeper for their second goal of the day, making it 2-1.

Mississauga carried the play for large stretches after the restart in the second half and if it were not for the play of the CAF-Bri FC keeper, Dean Dhillon, his team might have conceded a few goals.

In the dying minutes it was Dhillon again coming up big for his squad making several successive saves in extra time to keep his team ahead.

Micielli would seal it for CAF-Bri FC when he converted his third goal of the day, on a good individual effort, and they would capture the U-15 Boys Tier 2 Ontario Cup title.
