Play. Inspire. Unite.

The U-14 Boys Ontario Cup Final between the Weston Wolves and Waterloo United featured two squads who had excellent attacks and strong defence.

In the opening minutes it was Waterloo who were the first to press. Ank Nibogora found his way in behind the Weston defence but saw his chance go off the post and cleared.

A few minutes later Nibogora would get another chance but this time played it off to this teammate Bawi Bik Lian who converted his opportunity to make it 1-0 Waterloo in the 10th minute.

Moments before the half time whistle, Waterloo’s Chris Siahlu made a fantastic diving save to preserve his team’s lead.

For the remainder of the first half, both teams played some attractive soccer but were unable to create any further opportunities.

When the second half began, it was more of the same with the Weston Wolves trying to keep Waterloo pinned in their own end and Waterloo looking to counter when they regained possession.

Weston’s Luca Rao kept his team in the game with a couple goal line clearances in the early second half.

Weston would press to find the equalizer but Waterloo would do well to stave off any attacks and captured the U-14 Boys Ontario Cup championship
