Striker talent on display in League1 Ontario goal-fest

Familiar faces returned to League1 Ontario in a Matchweek 11 goal-fest that also threatened the order at the top of both men's and women's divisions.

In the Men's division, new Sigma FC signing Mo Babouli, formerly of Toronto FC and the 2014 League1 Ontario Golden Boot winner, didn't take long to get up to speed with a goal and an assist in a 3-1 defeat of Aurora FC.

Toronto FC III's Cyrus Rollocks scored an impressive brace to help the Junior Reds defeat the defending League1 Ontario champions Vaughan Azzurri. East division leaders Woodbridge Strikers were held to a draw, while third place side North Toronto Nitros were defeated by Windsor Stars, to throw the men's east division into further flux.

The women's defending Golden Boot holder Jade Kovacevic scored four for FC London.

Woodbridge Strikers held women's division leaders Unionville Milliken to a draw, and Eastern Kentucky freshman Sarah Owusu was unstoppable in a 3-1 win for Toronto Azzurri Blizzard over women's division contenders, Vaughan Azzurri.
