A pair of Ontario born players have signed with the Seattle Sounders Women of the W-League.

The Sounders Women added another pair of important pieces with the signings of Kinley McNicoll and Ashley Campbell, pending international clearance.

Campbell had a strong freshman year at the University of Dayton, accumulating a total of 12 goals and four assists, earning a total of 28 points.

By her junior year she was invited to participate in the Canada’s U20 National Team training camp and had earned recognition on the TopDrawerSoccer.com National Top 100 list while garnering All-Atlantic 10 First Team honors, All-Ohio First team honors, and NSCAA All Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team honors.

"Ashley’s direct style is an asset to our squad," Head Coach Hubert Busby Jr said. “Ashley has tremendous pace and combines well with other players.”

McNicoll, a member of the TopDrawerSoccer.com Top 100 freshmen in the nation, was selected to Canada's national team for the U17 FIFA World Cup and competed in the 2014 U20 FIFA World Cup as Canadian team captain, leading the team to the quarterfinals.

McNicoll was a First Team All-Big Ten selection as a junior and won the Big Ten Tournament Offensive Most Valuable Player award in 2014. She was a 2013 Second Team All-Big Ten selection after being named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2012.

“As captain of the Canadian U20 National Team, Kinley has shown tremendous leadership qualities even at a young age. She is another versatile and technical player who we are happy to have join our team,” Busby said.
