Competition intensifies last weekend as teams in League1 Ontario Men and Women's divisions fought hard to secure points to move up the table.  Despite all the movement in both divisions, one constant remained: Durham's dominance in the Women's division. Here is a summary of the matches that took place this past week:

Women's Division

Durham United F.C. continues their reign at the top of the table after defeating Pro Stars F.C. with six goals and a clean sheet.

In a game of two halves, the North Mississauga Panthers beat ANB Futbol with two strikes in the second half, yielding a 2-1 result for three points this week.

Woodbridge Strikers kept a clean sheet and rang up two over the Sanjaxx Lions. Scoring early was key to helping Woodbridge settle in the game.

Men's Division

Sigma F.C. took an early lead in the 3rd minute of Wednesday night's match, but Woodbridge Strikers responded quickly with a 6th minute goal, then another one in the second half to secure a win.

After losing their centre-back to injury, Windsor Stars had trouble defending ANB Futbol's strong attack, which resulted in a 4-2 win for the home team.

Sigma F.C. bounced back from their Wednesday's loss to the Strikers with a 2-0 win against Kingston Clippers to ensure a third place position in the league.

Like their female counterparts, Durham United F.C. secured an important away win at the Kia Training Grounds against TFC Academy with a score line of 2-0.

With a 3-0 win against Master's FA Saints, the Oakville Blue Devils maintains its spot on the top of the table after matchweek 8.

Vaughan Azzuri and the Woodbridge Strikers had to settle for a point each after a 0-0 tie in the highly anticipated North Toronto derby.
