A torrential downpour ahead of the U-15 Boys Tier 2 Ontario Cup final between the Cherry Beach Dragons and Milton Magic forced the match to be delayed and then eventually played in the Ontario Soccer Centre field house. 

Despite the last minute change of venue, neither side was overly affected by the move and both squads went after each other in the early going with some hard tackles that would set the tone for the game. 

The first goal of the game came off the head of the Cherry Beach centreback, Shane Gallagher, who got up high off a corner kick and directed the ball into the back of the net to give his squad a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute. 

Teams traded chances until the 65th minute when Cherry Beach would strike again. This time, Riki Kajiwara controlled the ball well on the edge of the box and curled it into the top corner of the Milton net. 

That would prove to be enough, as Cherry Beach locked it down the rest of the way and captured the U-15 Boys Tier 2 Ontario Cup.
