To continue the celebration of the 2016 OPDL season, the Ontario Soccer Association is pleased to announce the growth of the OPDL Charity Shield to now also include the U-15 age group.

In addition to the U14 Girls and Boys matches, two games will be added to determine a winner of the Girls and Boys U-15 division. All four of these matches, which will feature the top team from each conference and age division, will take place at the Ontario Soccer Centre on Nov. 5.

While also an integral opportunity to showcase the immense talent found within the OPDL before fellow OPDL members, scouts and families, the expanded Charity Shield will see more funds dedicated to Ontario charities.

Every dollar accumulated through the $5 admission rate will be donated to Ontario charities, as chosen by the winning teams in each match.

The U14 matches raised over $1,500 in 2015. The Whitby Iroquois Girls team shared their donation between the Charles H. Best Diabetes Foundation in Whitby and the Sick Kids Foundation, with the Richmond Hill Boys team dedicating their portion to the Sick Kids Foundation as well.

Join us in person on Nov. 5 in raising funds for Ontario charities and to witness the most talented players in the U-14 and U-15 age groups in our province.

If you can't attend the game in person, all of the games will be broadcast on the OSA Livestream. Subscribe to be notified by email when games kick-off
