Montreal Hosts Sunday Finale To Women’s U-20 World Cup

All eyes will be on Canada this Sunday as the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 comes to a close with the championship match on 24 August in Montréal. From four remaining teams – France, Germany, Korea DPR and Nigeria – only one will be crowned world champions at Olympic Stadium.

The final will give Canada a chance to shine, with both the match for 3rd place (16.00 local kick off) and final (19.00) broadcast to more than 200 countries and regions across the world. Tickets to the match are available online via FIFA.com/Canada2014 or on site at the Olympic Stadium box office.

Fans that purchase tickets to the 24 August final can also opt-in for a front-of-the-line window to buy FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 tickets, which go on sale to the public on 10 September. In the first phase of ticket sales, fans can purchase Stadium Passports which include tickets for every match day at a stadium.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014 runs 5-24 August in four Canadian host cities, with the two semi-final matches to be played on Wednesday 20 August in Montréal (France v Germany) and Moncton (Korea DPR v Nigeria).

Held every two years, the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup features the next generation of soccer stars, with the Canada 2014 edition featuring players born 1994 or later. The best of those young stars from Canada 2014 are also expected to be back in Canada next year for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015, which will run in six Canadian host cities including Montréal.
