Today is the final day of Ontario Indoor Cup action. AG London takes on the North Mississauga Panthers in the U-18 Boys final.

Match Report

The U-18 Boys Ontario Indoor Cup final, featuring AG London vs North Mississauga, promised to be an entertaining match and it fully delivered.

AG London, which had three teams in different division finals on the day, was behind the 8-ball early when they had a penalty shot called against them.

North Mississauga would capitalize on the opportunity as Alex DaCosta powered his shot home definitively.

North Mississauga would increase their lead when Youssef Zaghloul showed some fancy footwork to beat his defender and buried it in the corner with his left foot.

AG London answered back with about five minutes left in the half off a corner kick. Dominik Buczek converted his opportunity to draw his team to within one.

Braeden Gee would level the score at 2-2, when he received a slick pass from his teammate and converted his shot through traffic and past the North Mississauga goalie.

Not to be outdone, some clever passing of their own by North Mississauga led to Jamar Redhead finding himself all alone in the front of the net. He needed no second look as he gave the Panthers a 3-2 lead with seven minutes remaining. 

The Panthers would slow the play down the rest of the way and hold on to capture the title.
