There has been another exciting addition to this year’s Soccer Development Conference taking place on March 21-22, at RIM Park in Waterloo.

With an increase in popularity and inquiries on the game of futsal, the Ontario Soccer Association is happy to announce that it will be hosting a Futsal Festival March 22 at the Soccer Development Conference.

The festival will be targeting both U-12 boys and girls and will highlight the positives our youth players can take away from the game.

Teams will participate in two games, which will be used to demonstrate to our attending coaches how they can incorporate futsal into their indoor training periodized plans.

Prior to the festival taking place, Luis Fernando Paes de Barros, a youth coach at Santos FC and a featured speaker for the weekend, will be providing coaches with an introduction to futsal and why it has been so instrumental in the development of so many great Brazilian footballers.

The OSA Referee Department will also be hosting a futsal educational presentation for referees in attendance at the conference.

The festival will be open to eight U-12 boys and eight U-12 girls teams to participate in the festival.

All participants will receive a participation memento and the head coach of each team being granted free access to the Soccer Development Conference.

See flyer below if your U-12 boys or girls team are interested in participating in the Futsal Festival or contact Brandon Frith for more information.
