On Friday, a District Technical Information Day was set up to provide District Technical staff with an opportunity to hear from the OSA’s technical staff on program updates, new initiatives and to also give their input and feedback on what challenges, successes and issues they may be having in their respective regions.

Invitations to 21 districts were sent requesting that their TD attend the meeting. For those districts without Technical Directors, the OSA asked that the district send a Technical Representative from their board or staff.

In attendance from the districts were: Ian Morrel and Darren Tilley (SWRSA), Carmine Lancia (HDSA), Sanford Carabin (DRSA), Bruce Rowe (ECOSA), Joe Scheier (EODSA), Erik Stoffelshaus (YRSA) and Rick Morandini (TSA).

This program was initiated in spring 2014 as the OSA technical staff felt it was important to continue to communicate with and hear from the soccer community face-to-face.

On the day, there were presentations from the OSA's Player Development Department, the OSA's Coaching Department, the OSA's Match Officials Department, the OSA's High Performance Department and from the OSA's new Technical Director Gary Miller.

In order to make these sessions a success in the future, all districts are encouraged to send at least one technical representative to each meeting.

For more information on these sessions, or hosting a future District Technical Information Day, districts are encouraged to contact the OSA.
