Please be advised that in 2015 The Canadian Academy of Futbol (CAF) has obtained membership within North York Soccer Association (NYSA).

For many years, CAF has functioned as a League governing the operations of Academies, outside of the OSA. In attempts to work within the OSA's structure, CAF applied for and was granted membership as a registered sanctioned Club of NYSA. The previous structure of Academy membership of CAF has become an accumulation of registered players and team officials directly registered with the CAF Club.

Questions regarding membership requirements are specific to the District Association and should be directed to the NYSA.

As is the case with every other sanctioned Club in Ontario, CAF is required to abide by and operate in accordance with the governing documents of all higher governing organizations; NYSA, OSA, CSA and FIFA.

Specifically to District Associations, all administrative tasks and responsibilities regarding and involving CAF shall be processed and applied in accordance with all existing operational procedures unless otherwise agreed to with OSA approval.

As for the topic of Academies in general, The OSA has captured this topic as a strategic initiative within the new three year strategic plan (2016-2018).

The Board of the OSA will be kept informed of any proposals or new developments with this initiative.

The objective is, through a plan, to formalize the integration of academies within the OSA structure.
