The Regional Champions Tournament was the brainchild of the Ontario Soccer Association League Management Committee, who identified a need for a season-ending competition for players competing at the highest youth level in the Soccer 4 Life stream.
As the Ontario Youth Soccer League continues to phase out, this competition will grow in size with those players competing at U-14 and U-15 Regional level in 2016 getting the chance to compete in next year's tournament.
