London Alliance FC Mustangs defeat Woodbridge Strikers 6-0 to win the 2023 Boys U14 MilkUP Ontario Cup

Play. Inspire. Unite.

The London Alliance FC Mustangs brought the energy first thing Saturday morning as the 2023 MilkUP Ontario Cup Finals continued at the Ontario Soccer Centre. The team kicked off the weekend facing Woodbridge Strikers in the U13 Boys Final.

It didn’t take long for London to open the scoring, with Dino Papanayotou landing his first shot in the 5th minute. He followed up quickly with two more goals - one in the 9th minute and another in the 20th.

Woodbridge came back after halftime with a little more heat, but it was no match for London’s swift offensive attacks. Another goal came in the 51st minute, after Dylan Demelo made a beautiful pass to two open teammates. Mason Franze let the ball through to a wide-open Paul Dreliozis, who scored with a strike to the low corner.

Franze found himself a scoring opportunity in the 59th minute, followed by a final bow from Papanayotou who scored his fourth left-footed goal of the match in the 67th minute.

Woodbridge displayed their resilience throughout the game, continuing to push on defense. Vincenzo Panetta made a few courageous attempts to breach the Mustangs' defense, but was denied on each occasion. The team managed two shots on goal but couldn’t manage to get on the scoreboard with a final score of 6-0.
