Masters Provincial Entry

2024 Masters Provincial Championships Entry Procedures and Rules

Please read the following Entry Rules and then click on the link at the bottom for the Entry Form.

The Entry Deadline is May 2, 2024 

All players in the Competition must be registered or transferred to the Club on or before July 31


1. Name and Divisions

The name of the competition shall be the Masters Provincial Championships, hereinafter referred to as "The Competition".

The Competition shall be divided into the following divisions:

Masters Over-35 Men For teams registered as a Senior Over-35 team
Masters Over-30 Women For teams registered as a Senior Over-30 team

Note: Subject to age restrictions, a female player may play on a team in any one of the above divisions. Subject to age restrictions, a male player may only play on a team in a Men's division.


2. Team Eligibility

  1. The competition shall be open to all "Senior Recreational" and "Senior Competitive" registered amateur teams whose clubs are affiliated with Ontario Soccer. 
  2. A team may only be entered in the division for which it is registered with the Ontario Soccer(i.e. team age classification and team gender classification) (eg. A team registered as Over-35 may only play in the Over-35 division).
  3. If there is no division for a specific age/gender classification, the team will be permitted to enter the division for the next highest age division of the same gender (i.e. an Over-35 team may enter the Over-30 division)
  4. Each team entered in the competition must have a team head coach who has completed the:
    1. Respect in Soccer certification; 
    2. Soccer for Life (and/or higher licensing)
    3. Making Ethical Decisions & Making Ethical Decision Online Evaluation;
    4. Making Head Way in Soccer
    5. NCCP Emergency Action plan; and
    6. NCCP Rule of Two
  5. If a team has entered another tournament on the same day as a Masters Provincial Championship round, the team will be denied entry into the Competition.

3. Procedures

  1. Entry Deadline: Application to enter the Masters Provincial Championships must be made on the online Entry Form,  no later than Thursday, May 2, 2024 and must include full team identification.
  2. Entry Fee is $420.00. Payment may be made with a credit card at the time the entry form is submitted online.  Cheque or money order must be made payable to The Ontario Soccer Association or by e-transfer to etransferOS@ontariosoccer.net and must be received by the Entry Deadline. If a team has submitted an Entry before the deadline, but payment has not been received by the Provincial Office by the Entry Deadline that team will be denied entry into the Competition.
  3. Divisions: The Masters Provincial Championships will be played in each of the divisions listed in 1, provided there is a minimum of four entries in the division.
  4. Entry Form: Each entry form must be approved by the team's Club. When a team or club completes the Entry Form and submits it, a copy will be sent to the team's Club. The Club must then complete the online approval process by no later than May 9, 2024. A team will not be entered in the Masters Provincial Championships if its Club does not approve the Entry by the May 9, 2024 deadline.
  5. Uniforms: Teams participating in the Masters Provincial Championships must have two uniforms of different colour at all Masters Provincial Championships games to avoid colour conflicts. These uniform colours will be registered with Ontario Soccer. 

4. Format

The Competition shall be organized in five regions with a series of open draws. The following is a regional breakdown of the District Associations.

REGION A:

Durham Region, Hamilton Soccer, Huronia District, Toronto, Niagara, North York, Peel Halton, Scarborough, Southwest Soccer, York Region

REGION B:

Elgin Middlesex, Essex County, Lambton Kent

REGION C:

East Central Ontario, Eastern Ontario and District, Southeast Ontario

REGION D:

Greater North

REGION E:

Soccer Northwest Ontario

The Competition shall be played under a single game "Knock-out" format.


5. No Shows & Withdrawals

Any team failing to fulfill its scheduled cup game shall forfeit its entry fee and its club shall be subject to a set fine up to a maximum fine of $600.00.

6. National/Regional Club Championships

The winning teams in the Over-35 Men's and Over-30 Women's divisions shall represent the Province of Ontario in the Canada Soccer Regional Club Championships. If either of these teams refuses to participate in the Canada Soccer Regional Club Championships, its Club shall be fined $2500.00.

The 2024 Canada Soccer Regional Club Championships will be held on September 19-22 in the following locations:

Masters Women - TBA


7. Entry Procedure
