Ontario Soccer has announced the nominations for the 2017 Board of Directors elections, which will take place at the 2017 Annual General Meeting.
A Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Ontario Soccer Members has been scheduled and called for June 24, 2017, one day prior to the 2017 Annual General Meeting. The proposed motions to be voted upon at the SGM relate to amending the Ontario Soccer By-Laws and any such approved amendments will materially impact elections to be held at the 2017 Annual General Meeting.
Furthermore, a motion has been properly submitted to be heard at the 2017 Annual General Meeting which may also impact elections to be held at the 2017 Annual General Meeting. Based on the outcome of the SGM and any preliminary motions to be heard at the 2017 Annual General Meeting, a number of outcomes may occur.

Notwithstanding the above, Ontario Soccer is seeking elections for the 2017 Board of Directors. The following positions are up for elections at the 2017 AGM, which will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017:

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Ontario Soccer will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Holiday Inn Toronto – International Airport (Trillium Ballroom) 970 Dixon Rd. Toronto.
All Active Members (District Associations) and Associate Members are expected to attend. Please RSVP your registration stating the delegate that will be attending on behalf of your organization via email to Charonne Thomasos no later than Friday, June 16th, 2017.

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE BY-LAWS
If adopted at the 2017 Annual General Meeting, these Amendments will take effect immediately.

ACCOMMODATIONS / TRAVEL / MEALS:
Ontario Soccer will provide a “Travel and Accommodation Grant” to each District Association to assist with the travel and accommodation costs for one delegate as outlined below.
The travel grant will be based on travel for one vehicle only per District Association at a rate of $0.45 per kilometre for travel to and from Ontario Soccer’s AGM. In the event that the District Delegate elects to drive from what is classified as an acceptable air travel distance (ie. Thunder Bay, Timmins or Sault Ste.Marie), the lower of the fare costs (economy fare verses mileage) will be applied.
Ontario Soccer is responsible for booking all air travel funded by Ontario Soccer. Any air travel booked by the District Association or Delegate will not be funded by Ontario Soccer. All request for air travel must be submitted via email to Gerry Jennings no later than Friday June 9, 2017.
Ontario Soccer will fund one Delegate for two nights (or two Delegates for one night each). District Associations are required to make their own hotel arrangements directly with Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport for their delegates.
