Futsal vs. Soccer & Indoor

Futsal:

  • Size 4 ball with reduced bounce
  • 5 players per team including the keeper
  • 1 main referee and 1 assistant
  • No slide tackles at all
  • Unlimited “on the fly” substitutions
  • Kick ins (4 second rule applies)
  • 2 x 20 minuet halves
  • 1 Timeout per team per half
  • No offsides
  • Goalkeeper throws ball back into play
  • 3 x 2 meter sized goals

 

Soccer:

  • Size 5 regular soccer ball
  • 11 players per team
  • 1 main referee and 2 assistants
  • Slide tackling allowed
  • 3 Substitutions
  • Throw ins
  • 45 minute halves
  • No timeouts
  • Offside rule
  • Goalkeeper kicks ball into play
  • 7.32 x 2.44 meter sized goals

 

Indoor Soccer:

  • Size 5 regular soccer ball
  • 6-7 players
  • Substitutions only at stoppage of play
  • 2.5 x 4 meter goals
  • Kick-in (no line rule)
  • One Referee only
  • Running clock operated by referee
  • 25-minute halves
  • No time-outs
  • Goal kicks
  • No absolute time limit to restart play
  • No offside
  • No Limit on keeper
  • Unlimited fouling
  • Unlimited passes to keeper
