How to Register
PLEASE NOTE:
We are experiencing a higher than normal number of emails.
It may take upto 72 hours for a response.
Many are worried about a deadline.
Please note that there will not be a late fee charged this year.
A letter was mailed out to referees explaining the two different options that a referee has to register. This letter was mailed out on Friday April 9, 2010, so referees should be expecting their letters in the mail by early in the week of April 12th.
If a referee does not get their letter by April 23rd, please email the OSA at
referee@soccer.on.ca to request your password.
There are two ways to register this year.
For those that wish to register on line please click the link below however please note that a referee can't register on-line until they have their letter from the OSA that includes their user name and password.
Please note that the password in the letter is case sensitive. In addition the letter "L" and "i" may be part of your password. If you have a "l" in your password it might be a capital "i" or the small "L", please try both options. The #1 looks different than both a L and an i. In addition there is a difference between zero 0 and an O. The letter "O" is fatter and the zero is skinnier.
If you have tried all combinations and all options do not work please email referee@soccer.on.ca.
Register on-line now
(THE SYSTEM ONLY WORKS WITH INTERNET EXPLORER AND FIREFOX. ANY OTHER BROWSER WILL NOT WORK)
If you are having trouble with the on-line software please refer to the troubleshooting guide, before calling the OSA.

The other option to register is my mail. Please note that for those who do not reigster on-line will experience a minimum 3 week delay. We encouage that all referees register on-line.
In order to be registered a referee must complete the registration form (either on-line or off-line), include the proper payment as well as sign the appropriate second page. The second page is either the waiver (for referee 18 or older) or the participant's agreement (for referees under 18). This requirement will be strictly enforced both with on-line and off-line payments.

Change in Classification System
As of January 1st 2009, there is a new Classification system in place in Ontario as required by the Canadian S.A. Every referee in the province will be affected by this change and will have a new classification. This is not an upgrade, just a simple name change.
New Classification System
|
Old Classification System
|
| International Referee |
FIFA Referee |
| National Referee |
National Referee |
| Provincial Referee |
Class 1 Referee |
| Regional Referee |
Class 2 Referee |
| District Referee |
Class 3 Referees, or
Class 4 Referee who is 16 & older |
| Youth Referee |
Class 4 Referees under 16 |
All referee fees will be based on date of registration (not as of April 1st).
Reminder: only referees that have registered within the past two seasons may register, however only those who registered in 2009 will be given a user name and password to log onto the on-line system. If a referee has taken more then two seasons off between registrations (meaning a referee has not registered since at least 2006) the referee must complete a
Referee Reinstatement Form and be reinstated by the Manager of Referee Development before being able to register.
New Referees
Just a reminder that all new referees must attend a
Mini Soccer Referee Course (if the referee is 12 or 13 years old) or the
Entry Level Referees Course (if the referee is 14 or older). The cost of each course includes the referee's first year registration as well as the clinic fee. A new referee may not skip this step and register directly without attending the entry level course or mini soccer referee course.
