Referee Assessor Training Program
Under the structure of the CSA rules and regulations on referee development, the OSA has a strong Assessor Training Program that was launched in 2008, which focuses on the training of new assessors as well as in-going training and education of current instructors.
Assessors act as the cornerstone of the development of referees in Ontario. There are currently over 150 certified assessors across Ontario who attend games offering feedback to referees seeking upgrade and those who simply want advice and suggestions on how to improve their own ability as referees.
Experienced current and former referees who want to use this experience to help develop younger referees are encouraged to apply to become an OSA Referee Assessor.
