As the 26th club in Ontario to be recognized by the award, Milton YSC becomes part of a small family of clubs who have earned the status of Club Excellence.
Fabian Abele, OSA Soccer Development Coordinator for Region 2, made the award presentation to the club’s board of directors and the membership in attendance during the Milton Youth Soccer Club’s Annual General Meeting on December 2nd.
The club began its involvement with the OSA Club Excellence Award program by applying for the Bronze level recognition.
As the first level of Club Excellence recognition, Bronze requires that clubs provide documentation demonstrating the club’s adherence to the operating standards required for both the District Association and the Ontario Soccer Association.
The application process took only two weeks, which is a testament to the club’s organization.
The Milton YSC plans to move through the next two levels of Club Excellence recognition and is aiming for Silver at the start of the 2010 Outdoor Season when the club will host its first-ever tournament.
Club Development and the OSA Club Excellence Award program are a service of the Ontario Soccer Association made possible by the generous support of The Ontario Trillium Foundation.
