OTTAWA, ON — Canada’s men’s national team veteran Dwayne De Rosario is doing his part to help the Haiti relief effort.
In response to the overwhelming need and outpouring of public interest and concern, De Rosario and his company Dero Entertainment have partnered with the Canadian Red Cross to assist in providing relief and aid to the victims from the earthquake in Haiti.

"Due to recent devastating events that occurred in Haiti, it is through the utmost compassion and sincerity that I send this message to all my fans, friends, and family to help assist me in aiding our fellow people, the victims of the Haiti Earthquake," said Dwayne De Rosario. "I encourage you all to take this moment and help us fight to rebuild the future of Haiti."
Canadian Soccer Association President Dr. Dominique Maestracci applauded De Rosario’s efforts. He said, "I encourage everyone within the Canadian Soccer community to support the Haiti relief effort that is so desperately needed at this time through this fundraising effort. Dwayne is an excellent role model for Canadian youth and we are pleased to assist him in spreading the word to support his efforts.”
In addition to the partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, De Rosario and Dero Entertainment are holding a fundraiser event for Haiti this Saturday 6 February at the Spoke Club located on King Street West in downtown Toronto.
Saturday’s event is scheduled to start at 8 pm and will feature music by Ilich and Slee.
